SoftNav

SoftNav is a chassis UI component (antora-ui-chassis/packages/soft-nav). Facto stack demos vendor soft-nav.js into supplemental UI and load it before consumer scripts (Mermaid, lightbox).

What it does

  • Intercepts in-article links within the same Antora component

  • Fetches the next page and swaps registered regions (mast / nav / article)

  • Emits soft-nav:loaded so Mermaid and lightbox rebind without SoftNav naming them

  • Hub profile registers @antora-supplemental/soft-nav-page-toc so the right-rail page TOC rebuilds after article swaps (see upstream proposal)

  • Cross-component links still do a full document load

SoftNav is not part of Valentus core. Copy js/soft-nav.js from chassis (as this demo does) or consume it via chassis slots when your UI bundle supports them.
